Can you help figure this one out?? Below is the attempt of creating a half moon from your Tut and my Tut. I think after using the "L" the way of selecting the area. Now I tried to use either the Pen Tool or the Shape Editor Tool and it draws the line back in a straight line creating a Pac Man type of effect. I do my Tut and the same action creates a 1/2 moon. Is there a way, using your Tut. to create a 1/2 Moon shape???

I have included the finished halves for you to see what I mean.

    Thank you

    RAMWolf44,

I couldn't duplicate your problem. I had no difficulty grabbing the straighted line segment with the shape editor too and bending it up or down resulting in a curved line (for example: to create a cresent moon).

Everybody is getting involved. Now we have multiple way's to create 1/2 circles. Some may think this is stupid, but in design 1/2 circles and moons and shapes like that are important!!!

This is why it would be great if Gary or someone that is an "expert" in XaraX would put together a PDF or something that explains how to do simple things like this, that aren't so simple when you are just starting out. Using visual tutorials are less confusing than just words. The HELP files give little visual support to help out in these areas.

Hope you like the piece. The "Goddess Symbol"

    Peace

I found that after I create the 1/2 circle using your Tut. I then click into the blank area next to the 1/2 circle THEN 'grab' the middle of the circle and drag it inwards. If I clicked on the area first THEN I get the straight lines inward. Yup!! That's the way to do it.
