    Hello Roshem,

Have you installed the fonts in the gallery? Have you by chance clicked on the disc fonts... button and told xara where it can find the fonts?

On the topic of font indices, does anyone know of a tool that can create them, given a folder full of fonts?

(The Font Thing's all very nice but doesn't handle OpenType files; Typograf does but isn't free and I don't like the interface as much. Would prefer to just use Xara's gallery.)

I guess I could hack something up with FreeType, but it's a bit of a pain. Xara themselves must have some sort of script to do it somewhere, or something...?

This is a most annoying warning message. Just need a simple method of loading a folder to the gallery and it wont allow us to do that. I have a ton of fonts I want accessible in the graphics app without having them installed on my computer.

somebody needs to address this problem because adding a folder is a great feature. having it work would be nicer.
Yes, yes, and what if the core is made of CHEESE?

It does work, however, the only fonts it will allow you to add, are those on the Xara CD. It will not function with other font libraries.

I never use the font Gallery. I just choose my fonts from the dropdown list when using the type tool. As long as you have the fonts on your hard drive, properly installed in your windows fonts folder, they will be there in that list. this goes for both True type, and open type fonts.
