I don't mean in any way to rip off some of the excellent works I have seen in the forum. It just seem a bit hard for me to find "easy" objects to begin with. So this is a version of Gary's spraybottle.

Suggestions and critique is always welcome.

That is one nice example of following the contours of an actual bottle. Did you use the spline drawing I posted?

Also, was it not fun designing a mock label? I have a whole cupboard full of fake products I do for my books.

What program did you use? I could not quite get both shadows and a rippling reflection using my gear.

    Anyhow, congrats!

    Kindest Regards,

I drew the bottle from scratch, with the drawing you posted in memory. I also did the textures and bump maps in Xara (fractal clouds and plasma is a real bless ) and of course the label (which was fun to do, actually) with alpha mask.

The shapes were after that imported to Strata 3D, where I used the extrude function with different settings. Pretty easy actually, when you know how to do it. FYI, I struggled for ages with CorelDReam 3D when I first started to learn about 3D modelling, and I did not pick up 3D modelling again until Vue d'Esprit 2 came out (and I am now waiting for the 4th version).
