forums moving to talkgraphics.com and hello

As you've hopefully already heard, from Jan 1st
2001 the management of the forums is passing to Xara.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to say welcome, give you a contact email in case you have questions/suggestions and reassure you , if necessary, that we don't intend to 'intrude'
in any way into forums on non-Xara products.

Nothing subversive, we promise!. We plan to use the domain www.talkgraphics.com as a gateway to the forums, rather than www.xara.com. We see the value in keeping the forums as they are...open to
all, no matter the program or the interest. Most designers use a variety of software and a lot of visitors are interested in several of the forums,
and will visit more than one during a session. As separate forums I'm sure we would all lose traffic.

In order to handle the transfer smoothly, I'd suggest that you bookmark the new site. From Dec 15th, i-us will stop hosting the forums, and they will be moved over to www.talkgraphics.com. We'd
hate to lose you during the changeover!

I tried bookmarking the site but it loops back to i-us. Is there something I'm missing?

Thank you so much for adopting all of the former I-US forums and giving us a warm and cheerful hearth to call home.

Thank you for keeping the forums intact. I've been a big fan of your products since 1996 (possibly 1995 depending on when you first advertised in Tiger Direct and went on the Corel RoadShow). And y'all have always exhibited professionalism, courtesy, and a sincere interest in what your customers want.

(I'm guessing this is a DNS thing . . .like when Xara moved their main website. . . that is keeping Jinny and me bouncing back to i-us for the next few days, eh?)

(uh, for those unfamiliar with DNS (domain name server) issues it can take up to 5 business days for all the computers that track domain names to add the new domain information to their list . . .at least that is how I understand it. . . as always I welcome any corrections if I misstated things.)

The main thing is to use the TalkGraphics.com URL from now on, since it will always get you to these Forums.

is it just me or has anyone else noticed that since the Xara people took over this forum there seem to be less general display problems, like the occurances of added or deleted characters...? or am i just having a couple of good days?

Hi all,

This is the smoothest move I've ever seen! Not a hitch as far as I can tell. I just went straight to the new link this morning and everything's working perfectly. What a relief not to wait til forever for the pages to load!
