My method is the same as Mike's.
I go for a more minimal approach. Very few icons at all. I'll take snap when I'm next home.
I'm looking to buy another V7, and Xara won't sell me one. Any chance I can buy yours geoff99?
I came on board with CorelXara and continued with Xara when they brought the app back into the fold. I currently use V7 and am unlikely to change just yet as the backwards steps in interface...

Disclaimer: I work for Apple.
There's no attitude, I just don't have much time for anything other than facts on this matter. No offence intended.

Proper optical kerning

Line width control (as Illustrator)
Rough effect (as Illustrator, see separate thread)

Nice use of Width and Wrinkle.
Was supposed to say: I'd say that it would be an alternative or addition to custom brushes for cartoonists.
Here's my work in progress, it's a book cover for a Kickstarter project, based on the...
Just a quick follow up. Illustrator seems to apply wave-like distortion to the vector with the following controls:

Bill was a true gentleman, and I had as much time for him as he did for us. And that is a lot!
His username Soquili - "burden bearer" in Cherokee - is vert apt for the amount of help and assistance...
I have a Wacom, but for this solution I need the effect to be controllable. I'm not sure right now how rough I want the lines.
I'd say that it would be an alternative or addition to custom...
Me too! For obvious reasons.
I was talking with my girlfriend and she suggested using Illustrator. Annoyingly - because I hate Illustrator - she was right.

Sadly I need to convert straight lines that have already been drawn.
