I installed a new harddrive in my laptop and restore a Norton Ghost image of my old C: drive to the new drive. Virtually everything worked as before other than 1 program that detected a...

    PSP X3 DetectLanguage() Faliure. Exiting

Now another problem with X3. I was still having freezing problems with magic wand and red eye. Clicking either of the tools would cause the cursor to stay in that mode (magic wand or red eye removal)...

    Re: Paintshop x3

    Hi MSawa
Paintshop Pro should do the job. With your house picture loaded, use the Free hand selection (set to smart edge or edge seeker or point to point) to select the roof. Once you have...

    Thanks Gary,
Ah yes, there is a 30 day free trial. Have just loaded it. Turns out Photo Premium is a collection of tools including Xara Xtreme 5, Magix photostory on CD & DVD, Magix Xtreme Photo...
  7. Have Xara Designer Pro 6, what is Magix Photo Premium?

    Hi,
I've been shopping for a raster image editor (currently using PaintShop Pro X3) and came across Magix Photo Premium. (I understand Magix bought Xara in 2007). There are virtually no reviews on...
  8. Re: Shipping Xara Xtreme to Canada, does it attract GST and duty?

    Thanks Ed,
Good to know. I recently ordered an upgrade (the product will remain nameless) from Ontario, but shipped from the US. There was about $35 in brokerage fees and GST on top oft he $99 USD...
  9. Re: Shipping Xara Xtreme to Canada, does it attract GST and duty?

Great, thanks everyone, I've ordered from Pardooz. They're a North American reseller, based in BC, if anyone is interested. Give them a look, nice personal service in this age of automated on-line...
  10. Shipping Xara Xtreme to Canada, does it attract GST and duty?

    Hi,
I'm about ready to buy Xara Xtreme 5, I see there is a physical shipment rather than just a straight download. Are there any users in Canada who can confirm whether or not Canada Customs...

Re: Multi-person editing of a web site

    Thanks Bill and Simon,
I've tried variations on the shared/sync'd files. Microsoft had a free service a number of years ago though the name escapes me, but essentially each there was a designated...

Multi-person editing of a web site

I just read the Feb/09 edition of Outsider, in particular about the soon to be released Web Designer. One suggestion/request is the ability for more than one person to edit the website. Here's my...

    Help.PDFs with transparent background

    Hi,
I use http://www.nitropdf.com to create and manipulate PDF files. It has the ability to add "stamps" to PDFs. One stamp I'm trying to create is a stamp with transparent background so I can...

    Re: The nearly new PSP

Agreed. I didn't upgrade to X2 from XI when the main improvement in X2 was just the new "granite workspace". For the money I was looking for more than a cosmetic change. It also seems X2 and X2...

Re: PSP Pen tool, need lines, not closed shapes

    Hi,
Yes, that's it. There are foreground and background fill colours/materials. I had turned off background previously and after drawing, and drawing yielded nothing on the drawing area. This...

PSP Pen tool, need lines, not closed shapes

    Hi,
The pen tool in PSP XI has me confused. I've selected the pen tool and when I draw on a vector layer (it's the only layer), I get solid shapes. In other words, if there is a curve in my line,...
