No wonder I couldn't find it. Options > Backups? Thanks for the tip.
I have a problem with pasting lines of text that include Tabs.
I was previously using PGD 11. I have a text are defined, and I periodically paste new text in that area, replacing or adding to the...
Is there a way to prevent PGD 16 from opening the last document? I'd prefer a blank screen.
I upgraded from PGD 11 to PGD 16. It just installed a separate instance of PGD. Is there a way to get it to import info from the previous install?
Thanks, Sledger.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I don't see a global setting to defeat the auto-open of the last document used. Is it possible?
Yeah Bill, an excellent point. To tell the truth I really never check the backup folder. I'll probably leave them enabled just to err on the side of caution. But I work with mostly very small sites,...
Wow, I skipped over that because it was tied to Backups. I would suggest a separate entry in the General tab in the next version.
Thanks
OK, after removing and reinstalling IE8 the problem persists.
I'm losing patience and will probably just live with it and trust that the popups will work correctly when published, or continue...
Is there a way to prevent WD6 from opening the last document on launch? I looked in the options and through the menus, and I downloaded XaReg, but I can't seem to find the setting.
Thanks for the suggestions. I wondered if there was a setting to suppress the shadows, but I guess not.
I'll reinstall IE8 as you suggested. It's the version that came with Windows 7.
Here you go. I forgot to mention the the popups work properly when published to the Internet.
OK, new web from scratch with WD6. Just a simple page with a few images on it.
When I export it and open it locally with IE8, I still get the photo opening as a new page in the same window, even...
Nearly all of the text in the website was created entirely in WD and nowhere else. The bulleted lists in small text was created in Word 2007, but that's the only thing. The headings are separate text...
OK, here's a sample page that shows the effect. If you open the web file in WD5, then export it, IE8 views the htm file with proper letter spacing.
If you open the web file in WD6, then export...
OK, it works fine AFTER I post it to my web site, but not when viewing on my local drive with IE8.
Any idea why that might be? I remitted IE to allow additional content.
I created a new web with only one page. I tried re-setting the popup web properties on a few of them, but that didn't fix the problem. Thank god, because that would have been an onerous task in any...
I already removed WD6 from my computer and replaced it with WD5, due to this and another issue. When I install it again I'll create a new thread.
See the attachments above
Is there a way to get WD6 to popup photos in a window as they did in WD5? If I export the same site with WD6 and WD5, the WD6 version uses a full browser window to display the photo, and I have to...
I seem to have a problem with the way XWD6 handles text display.
When I export a site using XWD5, the text appears the same in the browser (IE8) as in the editor.
However, when I do the same...
When composing a page in WD, if you select the photo object, the source file name appears at the bottom of the window on the status window, like this:
1 clipped photo '1968 330 Long Sun Front ...'...
Is there a way to view the complete file name of an imported photo object in Web Designer? The only file info I can find is truncated for long file names. I have more than 300 photos supplied to me...
Ahhhhhh.Thanks.
XWD doesn't provide a tool for adjusting the tracking of fonts, but Xtreme does. I created a short line of text in Xtreme, pasted it into Web Designer and used that as the basis for my paragraph...
