Ok I cut the shape as shown. However, when I export to gif or jpg it takes the white background as well. All I want is the shape itself.

That is very tedious. Other tools you can extract by simply telling the tool to look for color differences.
Anything like that in XARA?
To further the question. How do I "extract" the area delineated by the green border in the attached.
How do you make the fly out menus use the same graphics as the main menu. So far all I can get is some regular fly out stuff.
I only have the downloaded version. No CD yet.
Nope. Does the package come with all those or is that somekind of download add in.
Wow...where did you get all those fill patterns. Mine only has five options.
The fill gallery options on my version does not contain "two color patterns"
That seems way more complicated that it needs to be. Also how the heck do you draw a straight line.
Yes. That's it, but in a 90 degree version.
Well I thought that earlier. However, I don't have a Tow Folder in the Fill Gallery that might contain just a simple pattern.
I'm new to this. I have a rectangle with a fill color. I want to overlay onto this fill color a crosshatch pattern in grey.
How do I do this?
