By that logic I can interpret what you wrote any way I like, ignoring actual definitions and grammar, and I can make your post mean anything that I want it to. Fantastic logic. Good going there....

OK. So there are two functions called Erase Background?
I'm not sure anyone has quite grasped yet that I am using the all singing all dancing Erase Background function that is called Erase...
Since no-one here seems capable of using the Erase Background function, nor is anyone apparently aware of Xara's long standing problems with exporting alpha-transparency, I doubt this thread is going...
I've uploaded 3 shots, genius. Go and have a go at Sledger for a change and then look up "provocation". Actually, look up the word first.
No, the work is confidential. Shock! Someone is using...
As I already said, capital letters = name. I think that's quite well known, even in America. It is right there in the title where you said it wasn't.
Your input isn't wanted. Since the day I...
I was under the impression that Xara would save the original bitmaps in a Masters folder, but it hasn't. Is it right that there is no way to restore the original bitmap? I can't say I like that...
Speaking of lying, that doesn't look like you use the Erase Background tool at all. It looks like you drew around the object to remove the background. You like dots, so "...?"
And yes, "Erase...
Clearly I'm lying then. How about you just get off my thread? As always. Just put me on your ignore list already so that you don't forget?

Here you can see from left to right; Xara, Export to PDF, Print to PDF. Notice on the Print to PDF that the background changes colour. You might need a decent monitor to see...
Use a dark background.
I think this is related to Xara's inability to export alpha transparency properly. I've talked about this before, somewhere. Feel free to find the old post.
The thing is, without a decent export...
(Using the "Set Photo Hue" function). Tested on DP9 trial.
I'm trying to talk my company into using Xara for our instruction manuals. Not because it's great (though I do like it) but because everything else seems awful. The decision to roll out one...
Thanks. I was looking for that for ages.
In version 9.
Thanks
Brilliant. This works well for solid outlines. Thanks
Any way to have dashed outlines?
I avoided saying stroke so as not to be too specific, but I see "line" is equally ambiguous.
I don't have parts. I have one image that's got transparency. I want something that looks like a stroke...
When I try (by setting a line colour), transparency isn't taken into account.
Thanks
Mine still behaves as I said before. Not always, just usually. Particularly with text on circles and ellipses - which seems impossible to get where I want it anyway.
Handy. But new lines still remain backward until you try Sledger's solution. That makes it a bug in my book.
Deleted :)
...and it's finished :). Thanks everso, you saved me many hours. That name gallery is a fantastic tool.
Also, PGD still has the Name Gallery :) PGD is awesome :)
I think it says if you buy version 8 they'll upgrade you to 9 when it's released.
I still think it's a bug. Particularly as there's no "flip start and end" button. Possibly it's Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F...
Is it possible to completely replace all objects of a particular colour with a transparent fill? That would get me part of the way there.
