Oh my god no! The Hayley and Lee are the invitors. If anybody didn't get it, there was normal text on the other side. I won't be sharing that other side as it's a bit embarassing - I think that was...

Sorry to post to a slightly old thread. This is my first post to the challenge forum - do the things you post have to be new? Because this was the invitation I made for my summer party 4 years ago...
Thanks for that. Much more helpful than my web hosting company. And many apologies to all for this thread which has less and less to do with Xara.
I have now turned off the 404 advertising.
And...
I've been doing more investigation, and it seems that the problem was only partly a caching issue (as a4hire suggests). What additionally seems to be happening is that some bitmaps are not uploaded -...
Thanks Egg.
I am wondering if that "how to find us" page is actually a problem with the upload rather than the caching, because I can't fix it even if I force reload and delete all temp files -...
I suspect this isn't really a Xara problem, but because of the way that xara creates all of its bitmaps with names like 1.png, 2.png etc. it has some pretty horrible effects...
I have been editing...
Definitely closer. Now in IE 6 I get a bit of flashing (ie. layer popping up and popping back) when you hold the mouse over part of the pop up (which in IE 6 goes through the transparency). Will...
Hi Gary
How are you able to have a MouseOver action and a click action on the same button. As far as I can see for the former you have to have a [LayerName] in the web address, and for the latter...
Thanks for your help Bob,
It seems that your solution stops the Mouseover ending at all, i.e. even when you leave the original target area. Gradually then all the rooms turn red.
But I guess...
How odd... I'm certain that I get diamond shaped mouse over on IE 6 with Egg's example. Again I must check whether I am mad or not. Does anybody else get this? Do some browsers look at the...
Thanks for the suggestion Remi, but having downloaded the trial version of Flash CS3, it appears much to complicated for me to learn, just for this one bit of the website - not to mention expensive...
Thanks for your input. Gets us there a lot quicker.
I guess it's pretty obvious from my design, that it's not possible to design around this feature. It strikes me that it might be possible to get...
Looks like a browser issue to me. I get the same behaviour as you on Opera 9, but non-rectangular hotspots on IE 6. Maybe we could fill this in for other browsers?
Lee
That's curious. I can definitely move my mouse a couple of pixels around the diamonds and nothing happens. Maybe it's a browser thing. I'm only using IE 6 here at work, but I'm sure I've seen...
I'm not sure it's quite just about rectangle bounding boxes. In my first example, I get pretty much pixel perfect mouse overs for the diamonds. It's only when the pop-up obscures the mouse over.
...
They do mostly work, yes, but sometimes they get a bit left behind. Try moving very slowly from Bedroom 2 through Shower Room to Utility Room and onto Kitchen Diner.
If you do big bold movements,...
Hello
I have been investigating what happens when you use MouseOvers - using the layer name in the web address, because I have been having some problems with my website:
www.pearlcottage.co.uk...
Glad to add something back to the community. I've been very much a taker for many years.

Lee
Hi
I have spent a bit of time working out how to get a Google Map embedded into my Xara created web page. I've worked it out and thought I'd share it in case that is interesting to anybody else.
...
I've worked out how to get a google map embedded in my website. Do you think there would be any interest in some kind of mini tutorial?
Lee
Doh!!! How stupid of me. I don't know why I had a blank about using a different font for the bullet - particularly as I'd previously used Webdings!
Thanks for being patient with me!
Lee
Unless I've done something very stupid, it seems that not all of those symbols are available in all fonts. Specifically the square bullet isn't available in Tahoma. So I've changed to a circular one....
But only if the text is about right, yes? If I make the first bullet a line longer, all the bullets will be in the wrong position, won't they. I guess I was asking if there was a way to have some...
Ha ha.. Yes those are the old Victorian (actually really Victorian too, Queen Victoria used to used this beach) beach huts on the local beach. I did originally have that bitmap really washed out, so...
Thanks for this. Is there any way to keep the bitmap copy as part of the text? (Some kind of inline bitmap.) Assume otherwise that I'll have to manually position them - and make sure I do it after...
