    tried this twice....erased all of Pro from the computer, re-downloaded, reinstalled and it gives me the fail message before I even get to the screen where you can fill in the numbers and password...

    Mark the example you downloaded with seletor tool. Change to shape editor tool, mark one of the end points and use the "delete Points" button. Line is then shorter and it can be saved as a brush...
