Hi Grace, Steven, Pete and the other programmers,
I think that part of the communications disconnect we are running into here is that of jargon and viewpoint.
When Grace talks of Standard...
I like what you did.
I especially like the current tab displaying in a metal nameplate or gauge window, the addition of the screw heads.
I didn't texture the gear, especially the center panel...
I'm incredibly flattered by the reception my sketch has received. My inspiration for this was some of the cool skins that people have made for audio or video players, as well as the interfaces Kai...
Hi Grace,
If I were doing this as a web page, I'd either make the gear tabs absolutely placed buttons or I'd make them Image map hot spots. Probably use the image map.
The 10 forms/tab contents...
I offer this skin as a conversation/design starter.
Please feel free to adapt or evolve this design or say, "Rubbish - here's how it should look" (but don't say it too loud OK? ;))) and then...
Oh Grace,
We have a whole world of designers to draw on, lets not limit ourselves to a bare-bones UX. I'm sure someone here (or more likely everyone working together) can come up with something...

Great news. =D> I used to know all the astronauts names, up until the moon shots anyway. Then in in the era of the International Space station, it didn't seem as exciting or groundbreaking and I lost...
Time to dust off you logo designing skills!
The Xara Registry Tool (XaRT) project, an open source software development program, launched by members of the TalkGraphics community, needs a logo...
Thank you for contributing and kicking off the logo contest.
I'm sorry you never knew Bill, he was a fine gentleman and you may run into him yet, many of his posts -his tips, his encouragements on...
Come One and Come All.
Submit your Original Logo Design for Xara Registry Tool or XaRT in this thread. Once we have a bunch of designs we'll have a poll to narrow the choices. Then Grace as...
This is the proposed agreement we will use. I am not 100% positive at this point who and what address should be used for the project's signature block. Also the URL used is the one for the forum and...

We will distribute the XaRT code under this MIT License. We will, of course be adding the proper date and list of contributors to this licence when we include it with the software. The licence...
Grace has chosen to use The MIT License (MIT) for this project. The MIT Licence covers contributions of code to the project. Media, or all work that is not code, such as but not limited to artwork,...
I really like the Tulpen One font, it is a narrow font and you don't find many narrow or condensed fonts around. And if you are using Web Designer 9 Premium you are just a few clicks away from using...
That it is! I've just now changed the name of the forum to XaRT - The Xara Registry Tool Project
That was an oversight on my part, Fred for which I apologize.
It was discussed quite a bit in XaREG Revisted parent thread that I broke up into parts one of which is Name That Software Project....
NOTE: We can not use XaReg because the code and the name belongs in whole or in part to Bill's estate. And we are not using any of his code in this project and we don't have permission to do so...
Please help us choose a name for the Xara registry editor we will be creating. The suggestions have been narrowed down to two contenders both of which have snappy nicknames.
Taylored Registry...
