Nice one, GP!
Michael, I'm sure you know how to render these scenes for use in these types of games. I'm a total layman in this field and just made an innocent observation.
And then there are the movies too that explore such dire situations.
Anyway, who knows what a modern city would look like after having been abandoned decades earlier? I'm sure the players get the gist of a dystopian future.
And they look very good. But the buildings, sidewalks and other structures look all a bit too orderly, too pristine after decades without any maintenance, and need to show a bit more decay,...
Thanks for the follow-up, Michael, appreciate it.
If you're not a pro gamer, you're a pro in the tabletop roleplaying games industry. :-)
OMG, you're a pro gamer!
I like you design work but am not really a gamer myself. Thanks for the link to the freebee though.
Well, these people are online and you only see some small maps as most of the screen is filled with cam shots of the players, so it doesn't bring the whole concept really to life but your description...
I agree, Egg. I also find it interesting to follow their creation with Xara (and 3D apps) and have been checking out Gameprinter's renderings for as long as he has been posting them.
But I wonder...
Pretty amazing!
Good to see you're back, Michael. Sounds like all your hard work has been paying off. Congrats!
Great new work. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, the current preview is much more informative.
Congratulations, Michael! Unfortunately, the preview is too short to get an idea of what you created but knowing your artwork, it must be pretty good.
I should have known that you researched all of this very meticulously and made your choices of how to craft your images with good reason.
Thanks for the explanation.
I have a suggestion for the piece of roadway that has landed in the water. Give its reflection a slight wave ripple and also a bit of an angle to match the light source. You might also want to try a...
It seems that all your hard work is coming even more to fruition, Michael. Congratulations!
The carriage tracks are a nice touch!
That looks really good, Michael!
Nicely composed and detailed. Draws you into a great and fun adventure.
Thanks for the extensive reply. I understand all you are saying but because this game world is totally foreign to me it is hard to picture sometimes how it all works.
Looks very nice. I still do not really understand how it works. Will you sell them as bitmap files or printouts? How do people use them?
Thank you for explaining. I was just wondering as I have no real knowledge of the history of fonts.
Looks wonderful and with that creation, you have become a Royal Cartographer. Not bad! =D>
The map looks old but are the fonts you use also that old?
Impressive.
I am provoked and love it!
