This is what I would do.
Create a line and shape it the same as the circle part. Give it a wide width. Select the Freehand & Brush Tool and then select the stroke shape of your choice. Convert...

You could try and use the print function to export it as a PDF. I typically use that from Xtreme when ever I send stuff to the printers. It seems to always work.
