It does seem to me that the 'web document' format might have some real advantages for creating 'web books' with multimedia integration because of the potential of using placeholders to embed content...

Thank you for the swift reply. When I posted the question I was at work using XARA Desinger Pro X8 but at home I have version 9. I tried to export at home tonight and get the same behaviour....

When exporting to SVG is there a way to just have the graphic exported and not the whole page? Even when the graphic is selected when going into the Export option the saved file shows the whole page...

When I use the ellipse tool, by default it produces a circle rather than an ellipse. Clicking on a control point enables an ellipse to be made but I'm not sure why this behaviour is different from...

Thanks again. This simple ideas explains some of the problems I have had with other sites as the file>new method also selects the best options for default new pages and copying layers.

Ah - just found that if I go via the File-New menu and select 955 pix then everything works as it should and I get the MouseOver layer. It's only if you go via Page Options and choose the template...

I don't think so because I just tried choosing the 760 pix and 640 pix sizes from page options and they also leave the default layer 1 present. Your attached file works as is should and once loaded...
