Is PSPX2 compatible with Windows 7?

I've found confusing results in my efforts to find out whether my PSP X2 is compatible with Windows 7.

Would you advise me simply to upgrade to PSP X3 instead?

    Thanks,

    S.

Re: Any good reason to upgrade from PSP X?

Glad to be helpful, but beyond the Curves issue, I really have not encountered any of the ponderousness, bugs or crash propensity you describe in X2. Maybe I'm just not trying hard enough?

    I'm...

Re: Any good reason to upgrade from PSP X?

I used PSP 9 before X2, so I can't give you a definitive answer. I deferred getting either X or X1 (is that what they called PSP 11?), because I'd read complaints about balkiness and instability.

    Re: Image size control

I think you should definitely be able to work with 10-12 K sized images. Even before my upgrade to 1 G of RAM, I was able to work with much larger ones. When I was experimenting with blending layers...

    Re: Resizing batches

I agree that it was more convenient when PSP remembered the last size used. But that only mattered to me because I edit each photo individually. If you're doing a batch, can't you simply set it up...

Re: PSP Material Palette Causes Crash

With your 160 gb hard drive and 1 gb of RAM, you'd think that would be enough.

Still, there are preferences in PSP that can be incredible space gobblers. One example is how many "undos" you want...

Re: PSP Material Palette Causes Crash

I used PSP 9 for more than a year, and while I didn't have the specific problem you describe with the materials palette, the whole program did freeze up on me fairly frequently.

    It turned out that...
  9. Re: RAW Nikon files & PSP X2: Do they work together?

I wanted to let you all know that I am working with both RAW Shooter and RAW Therapee...or at least, trying to get them working with me. When I set the D40 to produce RAW output, I get NEF files....

Thank you very much, Sledger and Trev, for getting back to me so quickly with the information. I have downloaded both Raw Shooter Essentials and RAW Therapee to try out. Thanks for providing the...
  11. RAW Nikon files & PSP X2: Do they work together?

Much to my surprise, Santa brought me a Nikon D40. One of the camera's great advantages, as I understand it, is the option to work with images in RAW format. Nikon's Picture Project 1.7 came with the...

This is such a rich topic that it really deserves its own thread, but I can get you started.

Re: It Was Me, not PSP

It looks as if indeed it's not PSP X2, but me that's buggy. At least if not buggy, under equipped. I'm told that PSP system requirements call for three times the amount of RAM I'm running.

Going Buggy: Me or PSP X2?

I've been using PSP X2 since September, and lately things have been slowing down. Could there be something cumulative going on to make it balkier?
