that was a simplistic example, and besides what if you do not want a raindrop profiled eyelash...
either you get it or you don't, no problem to me if it is the latter; the very fact that Gare...

egg:
take a short line, of fixed weight which it has to be in xara, made with the line tool - then imagine just a quick drag on the end with the mouse/pen to bring it immediately to needle point -...
not really sure how brushes crept into this thread - sure you can use the tool to make a profiled line and make a brush from that, but it is the making of a profiled line that it is for; design it on...
from my perspective, if I were to ask it would be both as they both have their uses...
no need to be sorry acorn and I was not getting at you
long time ago everone said how quick xara was and how it was not bloatware; I don't see it that way any more, in fact the more I learn the...
draw cartoon line art in constant weight line and then scultpt them into profiles is what I do [actually in painttool-sai] - it is very quick and it gives smoother lines than handrawn pressure...
it's only in AD beta at the moment and currently that is rather flakey; but it looks good so far, as good as illustrator if not better; the line profiling tool is clunky in comparison but even that...
can't speak for CC, but when i squish i do it on the fly until it 'looks right' by just moving the one handle; anything more complicated is not going to cut it
but croping is not what the OP wants to do, he just wants to squish and as you said, smart transform off for that... your second image is another question...
I agree with what has been said in as much as the yellow is overpowering and the alarm in the picture is just not crisp and clear enough; not sure you can do a lot about that with the image you have,...
I did wonder....
not all changes can be saved in a default template
you may have better luck using a default style - but I don't use these, but if they do I'm sure another member will help out...
you are welcome
xara is a great app for vector art contruction with shapes, and for basic compositiing tasks
and then again, maybe not ;)
paintstorm studio looks interesting... rebelle looks more like artrage or corel painter, not that you can tell for sure without trying...
I'm not a painter - I trained as one but I found cartooning [in the modern sense] was a lot more me
neither can xara gradients...
painttool sai is a manga/cartooning tool at heart...
no brush system is perfect
I see affinity beta 2.5 is introducing a line width tool along the same lines [is that a pun] as illustrator where you drag the node[s] on the line...
both my...
you are stuck with this i'm afraid
xara has 'smoothing' but no stabilisation in the modern sense and there is no way round it - the program seems to try to guess where you want to go next which is...
if he uses templates ;)
[I don't]
ignore that I mis-read - you mean default template sorry
the alt key is not a workaroud - it is a new way of doing it
I would have preferred it to stay the old way too, but it has changed
I sometimes use an old version to get round stuff like that
try holding down the alt key as you drag - does that work ?
xara did this because they consider the majority of their users use photgraphs which they do not want distorted and would rather have...
In other news, things aren't going very well for Magix
indeed
but if they go back to enabling their core user base to do things, rather than trying to flog lots and lots of software some of...
it isn't a tool - as daniel said in so many words, it's just a graphic representation of available tools and you cannot access them this way in the program
gnomra for printers ! :D
can't think of anything offhand - I used to copy/paste out what I wanted to print to a 'print document' xar file, set up with a particular print profile, but that isn't...
acorn said use 0px as line width, and that is what you should do, enter 0 in the line width box - if you entered none then that is your issue
none means you don't see anything at all; 0 means no...
