I'd agree with that. I find the black surround a bit opressive and I think the general feel should be uplifting.

You should get some tips from that guy that did http://www.xaraxone.com/ - he'll sort you out..
;-)
[The G is pretty neat, Gary ]
I'm not exactly sure how it decides what format to use, it has to use png images in some circumstances, but it's often better to use jpgs where XWD has chosen a PNG. Software can't always make the...
Psychro - I'd also suggest optimising some of the images if you can - your 237K pngs could probably be a 25K jpg.

My mistake - it's the unused buttons below the "Power Station" option.
Excellent work psychro. The Applications page has a "Power Station" button that points to Xara.
I agree about the "repeat on all pages" - a bit of a kludge because there are no master pages -...
Great pictures, great mini website!
Nice to see that "rounders" is popular in America.. ;-)
I'm afraid to say AVG is reporting the virus on the link to your new site now..

Maybe it's a false alarm.
No, I don't remember a PDF. Can't say for sure though.
Ouch AVG has said nothing. Hmm..
Given what you guys do, I'd definitely go for Xtreme Pro - a lot more design tools and better layer management.
Good job on the sites. The Red Barn site, I have two comments on:
Opening page -...
Which reminds me - the old-fashioned way to make shadows was to make a rectangle, apply transparency, then position it behind and to the side.
Really great job Ken, but two points:
You have some very big png images (saw one image as 275K!) and it would be good to try and optimise those as jpgs so they load faster. For many of your images...
Nice job - a few suggestions..
The big white squares
.. with words that say to mouse over the thumbnails.. .. replace it with some artwork and a bit of text perhaps, and place the mouse over...
Nice work (and I do like the multiple menu drop down - might use that myself). Colour scheme is a little garish, but that's just my opinion - I'd prefer it to be a little less dominant.
I might be...
That's not true - you should use relative not absolute links, then they would work locally as well as on the server.

It might be an idea to use lighter text - white even - on that background, or use a white transparency behind the text to try and lift it off the background.
lvsuperman, interesting site, though that green cloth background makes things difficult to read.
[Bobby beat me to it!]
No need to be shy. I've really enjoyed looking at your site and the projects that you've been working on - you are one hands-on practical guy.
Good job.

Nice clean site. Two things bother me.
The ISBL text and the logo above, have so little contrast against their background (on my laptop, anyway) that they lose a lot of presence - almost like a...
Fair enough. The "About us" section has so much text packed in I don't want to read it!
Maybe it's just me. If your client is happy - job done!

Hi Slavelle,
I think the only thing that I'd like to suggest is that the copy gets a good work over. It's sometimes hard to read and sometimes the English construction is clumsy. I think there's...
Stuart, looking good.
There's a bit of oddness with the tab shadows, though. I guess you're still working on the last two tabs. There should be a date on the (c), I think.

Good job Steve. I picked up the URL from the email..
