That's perfect; thanks so much!
Ah, it was for an album cover; I guess I added a texture so I could composite it on to the other art in the way I wanted more easily.

Hi! Wow, long time since I've been here. Just checked: 3 years (almost to the day!) and I was asking for the same thing, but a different file.
A little backstory, but skip to the end if you're not...
I can work from that, thanks very much!
Hi, folks. Long time no see. I'm afraid I've long moved on to Inkscape since Xara's development on Linux dried up, and it just got buggier and buggier as the OS changed around it. I now find I need...
i'm on xara xtreme 0.7 (1763)
has anyone else been getting a bug where the width, height and y coordinate of a vertical or horizontal lines are way off?
what i'm selecting at the moment says...
i seeee... i'd forgotten about the bitmap tracers, since i haven't played with them since xara x, when i found that they produced far too many useless shapes and required too much tweaking.
i...
hey folks.
i installed inkscape 0.45 a few weeks ago after hearing about it but didn't give it a try until tonight. thought i'd share my first impressions.
superior to xara:
rounded corners...
i've just had to correct my own toolbar. the line you need to remove from your preferences file is the one starting IDD_BUTTBAR_TOOLBAR. just exit xara, delete this line, save and start xara again....
once i've arranged the corrections i'll need to get them into the pdf.
the pdfs contain actual text, not images. i really want to stick to vectors. i'll see if i can save to illustrator, but i wish there was a more straightforward way of doing this.
an alternative...
i've been offered a job overlaying proofreading corrections on typeset text for a proofreading guide book. i'll essentially be taking scans of corrected prints and making a tidy vector version. i'll...
fantastic.
kman, i needed a vector tree, which is why google images didn't help me much.
oklaed, i could have used one of those trees, if only my xara disc was here at uni rather than at home...
i followed...
anyone got something like this lying around? i've been looking for WMFs etc for hours and i'm not having much luck. i probably could have traced a photo by now come to think of it. it's for a logo.
...
artworks used to do that. you could load up a sample drawing and undo all the way to nothing. and then redo and watch how it was drawn.
if they could do it 10 or 15 years ago (roughly!) i'm sure it...
i recently read some stuff about font hinting. most of it was beyond me, but the gist i understood was that certain fonts, mostly microsoft ones like verdana, tahoma and georgia were designed first...
ah brilliant. thanks a lot. i couldn't work out how to type in a resolution.
create bitmap copy seems good too - never noticed it before. i wish you could get a 72dpi one with the same pixel size...
space bar!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/redface.gif
can't believe i've lived without that for so long!
with the template, egg, what you actually see on the screen is a lot more...
never heard of inkscape. open source i see... intriguing. i'll check it out. thanks.
ah that makes sense. i can see how that could be useful, and have saved it.
doesn't scaling to 133.33% once in flash produce the same result? doing that would seem to have the advantage that you can...
1. it'd be nice to customise some more shortcut keys. at the moment i have right mouse button set to shift-click so it's the same as artworks, which was the start of xara. but now i can't get any...

i saw sara.
i think it's great! very impressive - did you have to snip one of the names to pieces to get "under" and "over" bits?
perhaps the grey could be a little darker?
something i'd like to see (or maybe it exists and i haven't spotted it) is some new options and settings to do with bitmap fills. i tend to use them quite often, and i'm regularly "cutting something...
