Re: Would like My Logo to be 3D But not Working out

No need that I can think of to upload the vector versions. There is no reason to redraw the logo at all. You should at least be able to open the PDF version and do with it as you want. Including the...

Re: Would like My Logo to be 3D But not Working out

It isn't a perfect match. I suppose CD still has the Penguin rip-off but I'm not going to hunt it down, install it, and check it against the bitmap. A quickie Google search finds a bunch of redrawn,...

Re: Would like My Logo to be 3D But not Working out

So of course I loaded my Linotronic version of the font. Works great in, well, everyone except XDP. You see, there is no "regular" varient. There is Light, Demi and Bold variants. Which means that...

Re: Would like My Logo to be 3D But not Working out

Re: Would like My Logo to be 3D But not Working out

It took me ≤ 3 minutes to draw the star. It took more time to load the PSD into Illy, trace it, then bring it into XDP. Although I did keep the traced main logo text and reset the Bank Gothic as...

Re: Would like My Logo to be 3D But not Working out

Just tried it. AI auto-traces it well. CD does OK. Tried in XDP and the first attempt crashed XDP. Second attempt created an ungodly number of nodes and isn't worth the effort.

    But really, if one...

Re: Would like My Logo to be 3D But not Working out

    Yes, more or less.

It's at times like this I need to evaluate--and discuss with the client--whether to keep the organic, not perfect appearance of the original versus correcting geometry and the...

Re: Would like My Logo to be 3D But not Working out

What you cannot do without manual tweaking are the radiused corners. Still need to overlay, add points and radius them.

Re: Would like My Logo to be 3D But not Working out

    Egg,

I think once you bust apart the contour, change the fill to nothing and outline it, then overlay the bitmap you'll see the issue.

Bitmaps are wholly useful. If I had to do this, I would...
