There several good ones, FileZilla or WS_FTP for example, but avoid CuteFTP!
And I can tell you as someone who is a systemadmin. for over 22 years (you brought up your experience first) that it's rather foolish to put the OS on a slow old 40/80GB hard drive when you could use...
But that is what we have partioning for... and even if you do not want to partition is.... so what if you don't use the 500GB, I think it's just odd if people would buy a $300 quad core and then...
If it's not about cheaper, then what is the reason? Why sacrafice on performance for 30-40$? I don't get that. Don't underestimate it, transfer speed of my 640GB 2 platter is already about 25-30%...
I would like to advice against that, since these small drives are much slower than modern drives, even if they both run at 7200rpm and you don't have to do it for the price either, 40gb/80GB drives...
A common sign of lack of resources, not because your computer is not up to date, but because of applications not releasing resources when they should. A common problem with Windows applications is...
Adobe releases and a "leap forward", isn't that an oxymoron? :p When you want to see an application making leaps forward, then try Cinema 4D, even a .1 release is more than a new Adobe release.
You obviously haven't built a lot of computers in your life...

There are 1000 and 1 solutions, especially if you don't mention a price range. It also helps to know what kind of hardware you have and what kind of quality you're looking for, TrueSpace and Sketchup...
I don't use Photoshop
Sorry, but I don't understand what this is refering to.
Not all DCU support 7-zip and those that do don't necessary support all features. Personally I don't see the need for 7-zip, the gains are minimal compared to a popular program like WinRar
I...
7-Zip is a availlable as 64-bit version, these programs are not. I saw a 30-50% speed increase in Vista 64 with the 64 bit version, much faster than WinRar.
I don't think you need the Wacom Intuos. The reason why I prefer the Intuos is because of the higher resolution and higher number of pressure levels which benefit me greatly for what I bought it for,...
Sure...sigh
Registry cleaners often do more harm, they should only be used if there are no other solutions.
Congratulations, you're the first one who didn't get the joke in that thread.
What the heck do you guys need a case and desk for?
Stay away from registry cleaners.
Samsung 4GB, but I needs a new one, preferable 32GB, just haven't found one that I like, they all suck.
