Coldfuel: I'm not an expert but I think the answer is this: If you select CMYK colors and turn on Simulate Print Colors, the printed results will approximate what you see on the screen.

I have found that adding a transparency effect changes the color of the printed image. The change is subtle when printing directly from XaraX but significant when printing from a pdf 1.4 format file....
