Hi NVictor,
You seem to be catching on to vector drawing. Here are some bubbles and the .xar file for you to open and see what was done to create them.
You can find many tutorials and other great learning aids at The XaraXone
Bubbles would be visible mainly because of the refections and highlights on their surface and maybe the way the lens effect distorts the background.
If you draw a circle, remove the outline, make it almost completely transparent and then add your highlights to indicate the surface of the bubble. If the light is coming from above the highlight would be at the top with perhaps a fringe effect around the outside of the bubble to show the curve etc., then make the bubble completly transparent and see if you can still see it as a sphere. You could add the inevitable window frame reflection bent around the curve of the sphere, a bit of a cliche but it works as a way of showing the shape as well as the surface of the bubble.
This poster for a new sports hall, for running and jumping about in, used bubbles because one of the sponsors had bubbles in their logo and advertising.
How's about one of you guys showing me how to draw an ice cube.
Not in a glass... just by itself.
I would just love to see a three dimensional logo embedded in a glass lozenge shape.

Bob, I don't know if you have already checked out these Ice tutorials:

Thanks Bill. No, i hadn't seen those - and never even thought to search. Thanks.
Bubbles - Did someone say bubbles???
Hey Nvictor - Welcome to the Xtreme conference.
Bubbles are transparent as you have observed. But the edges have more density and are darker. And as bubbles are very shiny, they reflect light which gives them highlights.
I am attaching a short tutorial for a simple bubble. If you have any questions, just ask. There are a lot of techniques here.
I also did a full blown bubble tutorial last year, The March Xara Xone Tutorial
Gary
thanks that's a nice tutorial.
What do you mean by "profile" - Step 3???
