error prevents install - SOLVED

hi
i was battling with error messages regarding .msi files on installing xpro9
the solution regarding permissions is to go to the mentioned files, click properties, security and edit [or add] all users [administrators] to have full control over the file and apply this setting, do not exit startup, just click ‘retry’.
a small program, 'take ownership', will also accomplish this [registry hack, take care!]- it installs to be visible in the right-click explorer file menu [see http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...menu-in-vista/ ].
with 'take ownership' a complete folder can also be 'taken over' by the administrator.
my only problem at present is the '1909 error' regarding the creation of a shortcut for xara x pro 9, your help is appreciated.
