You can put the dll in the C:\Windows\System32 folder. But if there is already a copy there don't overwrite it. You can put it in your Program Files\Xara\XaraXtremePro folder if there is already a copy in the system32 folder.
The dll may not correct the problem, but it might just do that. I did a search on my system and found 7 copies of the dll and there were 3 different versions.

It turned out to be the problem alright. I did a search for Runtime +error in "talk graphics" and dicovered this has been a fairly common problem with Xara products, although it seems to be related to anti virus/firewall programs and McAfee's latest Upgrade in particular. At any rate Xtreme Pro is now up and running like nothing was ever wrong.
I thank all who tried to help. It was a very helpless feeling.
