Hi,
Would it be possible to have the options to disable the pen tool smooting preview?
I would prefer the way it works like when you adjust an existing shape with the freehand tool, just seeing the line you trace, dealing with the smoothing slider afterwards if necessary.
I find the squiggly line a bit annoying.

Drag the freehand smoothing slider fully to the left. This will disable the auto smoothing wriggling :)

It's surely a solution but would generate a billion control points and also mean adjusting and resetting the slider at every stroke.

Are you sure? Certainly not for me. Once the smoothing slider is set to zero, all new strokes in the document are zero smoothing.Quote:

I would like it to retain the previous smoothing adjustment on creation, just like it works now, only have the option to turn off this preview.
This would behave like when you adjust an existing shape with the freehand tool.
The smoothing would occur after you release the stroke.

Marc what setting have you been using for smoothing? A setting of 10% to 25% is what I typically use.
Hi Bill, yeah I usually keep it in the first third, between 10 and 25%.
It also depends on the project and desired effect.
