Re: Also XTREMELY frustrated
While the exported images for your galleries may be efficiently small, the original graphics that are stored in your project (.web) file may not be. I would suggest that you read through the Optimizing Photos and Bitmaps section of the Xara Web Designer help file. :)
Re: Also XTREMELY frustrated
Hi LindyJo,
you say you're developing your website in Xtreme.
Have you tried if the problems you encounter still exist in Xtreme's latest version (5.1.0.9131) that was launched yesterday?
Re: Also XTREMELY frustrated
I'll try the new version.. thanks
I have optimised my images but I have a LOT of them.. I will read further thanks
Re: Also XTREMELY frustrated
If you have many images and many pages in your site, you could create separate web/xar projects for every page.
Re: Also XTREMELY frustrated
Thanks for your suggestions and assistance.
If I create seperate .xar or .web files for each portfolio for example .. how do I link back to the rest of the site?
I presume I would have to use web properties / link to web address instead of "link to page"?
Well I learned something here.. ;)
Back to the drawing board..

Yes, that's correct. If you export and upload all the pages to the same directory, you may enter just a page file name in the link field. For example, if you export your "Contacts" page with following name: "contacts.htm", you simply enter this file name in the link field.
Re: Also XTREMELY frustrated
How do I link between .web files?
The thread closes with a functional sample.
