When I want to insert a part of a picture in a drawing - and a part of the imported picture goes outside the lines - how do I then cut the drawing along the lines?
Hi welcome
One way to do it - see attached
Check out help movies too - you can use also clipview which allows you to reposition afterwards :)
I have illustrated my problem in the attached example. How do I cut along the lines and cut of a part of the "TEST-text".
One way is with Boolean intersect...
The rectangle is transparent red (pink).
Egg Bramhill has a good tutorial video on this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=G8XgHkZo1J8
In this tutorial, he selects a cow out of a larger photo... way beyond just cropping.
If I neede to create a graphic (for the web for instance) of the word, I would just select and export the "pink" square. Then you will have just what you need without slicing and dicing...
Save the juilene fries for something more complex...:)
Think he meant "julienne" which in the US is pronounced as rhyming with Boolean.
Ah - thanks :D - that I can relate to
Yes... that is what I meant. If you where in the states, way back when there was a device called the chop-o-matic, that sliced, diced and made julienne fries...:)
Not to be confused with the Bass-o-matic, which did some truely funny things to fish...:D
Sorry.. engwish is my mudder tongue. I am still learning english...:)
