Re: Help! with getting button and text in same image
Hi Raffy,
The texture should be applied to only the shape and not the shape and text. In the main window show the cursor and select only the shape, then use the Texture options.
To have the text show up in both sides you must have it on both pages.

I'm going to try to get the various lines to move in different directions.I'll probably need help again.

How did you isolate the coin in the word "coin",and get it to move on its own?
Bill et al,if I want to show 3 or more different images, would I just make more pages?
Re: Help! with getting button and text in same image
Raffy,
To assign a different animation to a word or a shape, select it in the main window using the cursor (just like assigning a different texture), select the animation from the Animation Options. Just remember that the type of animation choices are limited when using two different in the same project.
Yes, additional pages allow you to add different images.

Broncofan did you ever get the circle and the text to go in different directions as that is what I was after in the first place and seemed to have spawned so much more discussion?!
Re: Help! with getting button and text in same image
Hey Mcgoo, I know it doesn't look like it but the Apples and Oranges animation actually has the text and the disc rotating in opposite directions.
Assign an animation to your entire image in the main window. Show the cursor and then select the object (text or shape) you want to apply a diffent animation. You select using the cursor, the cursor keys on your keyboard, and the shift key. Use the cursor keys to move the cursor beside what you want to select. Hold the shift key down and move the cursor to select. Once you have something selected, use the Animations options to select a different animation from the one you applied to the entire work.
Re: Help! with getting button and text in same image
So, has anyone figured out how to rotate the object "Coin/circle" and the words seperately? Thanks to everyone who joined my initial thread and spawned many others which greatly helped out. A lot of talent in this forum. Thanks, and I look forward to learning more...

Am I speaking a different language? Am I being too obtuse in my explanation?

Like most thing Xara there are numerous ways of doing something.
Here's a tutorial on one method.
