.avi export issue

Hello,

I created an animation is X3D 7 and exported it as an .avi (the video/audio program it's going into doesn't allow any of the other extensions listed). I went to test the standalone file on my computer and got the following error:

I used the following settings when I exported the file:

Size: 750x200
True Color 24-bit
Cinepak Codec by Radius (compress to color)
Quality: 100%
Keyframe every 15 frames

Is there something I'm missing or did I export improperly? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

appears to play ok in my windows media player 12

which program are you having issue with?

I tried it in:

HP MediaSmart Video (1st attempt)
Windows Media Player 12 (2nd attempt)

Roughly the same error in each program.

fwiw - It also worked in my Windows Media Player 12.

I looked at both the avi and the xar files and to me they do not seem the same. The avi did play ok though on my windows 7 64bit machine.

Played fine in my Win7 work machine.....perhaps it needs some codecs?

down load a K-lite codec pack (do a search for it) and select the codec pack relative to 32/63Bit system it installs a lot of codec to choose from and see which one works..
