atan2 DOMAIN error on latest XX4

I was just working with the live 'painting' plugin and my Vista P.C. froze.
I got an error message:
[atan2 DOMAIN error]

At the bottom of the screen instead of saying 'Xara Xtreme 4 Trial' it gave me:
'177 Xara Xtreme 4 Trial'

After investigation (I think I first went onto XX3 and then returned), I saw a stack (probably 177) of:
'Xtreme.exe'
I scrolled down and after a while I found my 'Untitled' (I know i shold have saved it before) file at the very bottom of the stack. I opened it again but it was still frozen.

I opened the 'Task manager' and saw the stack of [xtreme.exe]
After attempting to close a couple of them, the whole lot vanished and I lost my file.

It has happened again.
As soon as I tried to 'paint' group of vector shapes the error came up and then the stack of 'xtreme.exe' one by one.
The group comprised of transparencies and filled shapes (3 colour and plasma).
And this time I saved it.

Can anyone else reproduce these problems? Works ok for me on Vista.

Do you have a reproducable sequence starting from a blank design, or perhaps a XAR file?

Hi Neil,

I can reproduce the "atan2 DOMAIN error" using the paint plugin as follows:

1. Create a new document and drag the "AUTUMN2.JPG" from the clipart gallery.

2. Select It

3. Use the attached Paint preset.

The atan2 DOMAIN error will occur.

using Robert's preset confirm that 'atan2 DOMAIN error' message came up on applying - clicked and it appeared to finish ok

however on closing xxp4 and reopening got error message again and stacking - closing one closed all

xxp4
XP home SP2
intel core 2
nvidia 7200

Ok thanks guys, we've reproduced this problem now and will look into it.
