Re: what am I doing wrong?
yeah, blends are sometimes very strange
how about just cloning and flipping the other one?
Re: what am I doing wrong?
When you select your two objects for the blend Xara highlights all the control points. After you have created your blend, find the same control point on each object and drag a new path between these two points. Your blend should straighten out.

Re: what am I doing wrong?
Drifter, I was doing that but wanted to create over 20 pedels and thought that blend would be faster.
Gary, why does it work blending to the right, but gets messed up blending to the left?

Matt

I start to babble towards the end so disregard that bit!

Thanks so much Egg - a great help.
Re: what am I doing wrong?
good tutorial Egg, I discovered the blend option by mistake one day
and it very handy.
And I don`t undrstand why the matt 343 just did`t duplicate the shape
and flipped it vertically? ;)

Ohhh.. the inhumanity!!!!
I hope Matt you watched Eggs Vid on the blend tool, it shows and explains all, also the vase blend is useful to watch as well, as the problem you came across is similar in both cases. It is also, I have found, useful to get to know the Position Profile and alter the shape to what you require.
