Entering formulas
I'm doing some technical engineering calculations and assembling my memos in XD7 Pro. It's a combination of scanned hand drawings, calculations and text put into a nice memo template in XD7.
I'm considering to go from hand written calculations to something nicer and I wonder what you are using to write calculations into Xara?
I could make them in Word off course and paste them into XD but maybe there is a better alternative.
I'm not going to buy MathCad or anyting remotely that expensive and I'm not going to learn LaTex either! It has to be no more difficult than Word but I would like to get into a software that 'knows' math.

Re: Entering formulas
Hello Jim
I don't know exactly what you're trying to do, but if you're on Windows 7, you have a special "math entry" function (in Accessories) that can help with entering mathematical formula into other programs.
Below is an example... I scribbled the formula and the software interprets it, to produce the clean and printable version...

Hope this helps...

Re: Entering formulas
That's very interesting, I do have Win7-64 but I don't have that program!
I suspect this is caused by myself closing down all Win7 tablet functions to get my Wacom Intuos 3 working properly. This may have deleted this function too.

Re: Entering formulas
Hi Jim,
I used Xtreme Pro 5 back in 2009 to create the attached .xar file. The fonts used are standard Windows Arial and Symbol with the Xara Super Script and Sub Script text.

Re: Entering formulas
Thank you Soquili for the file, I'll print it and keep in the lab.
Just one note: Resistor in series, Rtot = R1+R2+R3+...Rn

Re: Entering formulas
Thanks for the correction Luciano, I knew something wasn't exactly right when I entered that line. ;)
