A trip to the marsh
We enjoyed a beautiful spring day today and my husband and I decided to go to a local marsh to enjoy the sun and the wildlife. I took some photos while were there and I thought I'd share them here. The marsh is a delightful place with a meandering pathway a couple of bridges and lots of birds.

Re: A trip to the marsh
Ah, man, I miss our life in the big woods--which is what your images remind me of. It still isn't the same for me and my wife driving to the woods! (Doesn't stop us though.)
Beautiful pics, Frances. Thanks.

Re: A trip to the marsh
Thanks Mike and Larry.
Mike: Yes I imagine the forest here would be very similar to Oregon, except there are no redwoods here.

Re: A trip to the marsh
In early 1978, my wife, our (then) only son and I moved to the Panhandle of Idaho, up against the Montana border. A couple (relatively poor) pictures.
The cabin being built. My wife's cousin was visiting and snapped this picture. And a couple of our oldest son and I. The black power rifle was in celebration of the 4th of July. A terribly wet year that was. And then one of Kris and I taking a break from gathering our 14 cords of wood. He was explaining something to me.
Take care, Mike

Re: A trip to the marsh
Thank you Ibaddn7710
I have to agree Mike's photos do have that look, especially the last two. It's interesting the warm tones in those old photos, I have experimented in the past with recreating that look with Xara and a modern digital photo.
