Please help - cannot upload my picture to Blogger

I am new to Xara, but have managed to create a great blog header under my own steam. However when I try to upload it to blogger I get an error message stating "unrecognised format"
I have tried to save my image as a JPG or PNG, but it does not give me that option - HELP!!

You will need to 'Export' as JPG or PNG rather than Save as.

Thats great thank you. It has worked but is cutting off part of the picture. Do you know how I cure that?

Is it cutting it off when you export it or after publishing and viewing it on the blog ?
