Thanks Grafixman. I don't know Blender, so I can only tell you how I did it in C4D. Use a cylinder and taper deform it so it has a point on one end. For material, give it a light cyan colour, use the same colour value for luminance and transparancy. Add a glow and turn off specular. I think I used too much glow in the first one. Here's another lightsaber. I toned down the glow and made the saber using multiple cylinders. I also added a couple of lights so the black central cylinder would show up against the starfield background.

Hey, no complaints here http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif. Just didn't have time to play lately. But I check the forums whenever I can to see what's happening. Wow, you sure got them metal settings down to a fine art. It's a great collection of lightsabers you got here. Maybe you could start a sci-fi collection.
