Re: 1920s Automobile Postcard
I love the concept and the illustration, Ron.
I know you went "gentle" on the distressing of the image, but don't you want to muck it up a little more for the sake of authenticity? I went through my grandmother's box of photos about 30 years ago, and it was heart-breaking how some of the faces were indistinguishable.
Just a thought,
Gary

Thanks Larry. Well, you know, time and careless handling are what do it. Look at actual photos of old postcards on the internet; some of them are pretty ruff. However, I think I did curl it a bit too much for that type of card. Maybe more of a slight bend than a curl would be more accurate.
Looks much better now Ron. I looked at this the other day but sorry I didn't comment
I know ther corners get frayed, torn and lift a little.
I think you did a marvelous job of making it look old and still retaining the image.
You get an A+
@ Gare: I understaNd, yes that be heart breaking.

Thanks Larry!
Gary,
Here's a version where it is a little more distressed.

You've got that antique look to it, Ron.
Re: 1920s Automobile Postcard
Fantastic job Ron. It really shows neglect now. However I think I still prefer the image in post #3, it still looks antique but not so damaged, but, that's just me.
Either way, it's your call.
