I was asked by a relative to make a logo. He actually liked - and is going to use - one of the half-dozen or so I knocked-up. Not as classy as Gary's, but the 'customer' is satisfied :D

I like your logos. The lightning is perfect. I don't have a preference to the color.
Thanks Nancy :) The monochrome version is for letter-heads and invoices and stuff like that really.
Good stuff John. You should post more ;)
BTW: Colour lasers are much cheaper now and make letterheads and invoices much more fun! :)
Thanks Steve :) Here's a couple more that were on the short list ...
Nice work John.
Storm 5 is what one of the local TV stations uses for their severe weather coverage.
Thanks Bill :) Don't think my cousin is selling weather ... wouldn't put it past him to try though :D
That lightning looks fairly convincing John. Did you create it by hand or did you use a plug-in such as Alien Skin's Xenofex 2 Lightning? Either way, you can't get much better feedback than having your 'customer' tell you they like it.
Bang up job,
Harry
Xenofex2. I'm not proud :D Thought of re-doing it "by hand" but I'd had my burst of creativity for the evening by then
You're cracking me up.
Why go through all the tedium of creating lightning by hand when you can make effective use of the tools you've purchased and have available to you? I thought the Xenofex 2 package plug-ins were cool and purchased them earlier this year when they were offered at a discounted price. I picked up the Eye Candy 4000 group of plug-ins at the same time, as they were also offered at a reduced price.
They definitely come in handy at times.
