WD9: Stop checking for updates?
Hi,
Since I moved from WD8 to 9 I face only things that go against me.
One is this obsessive update check when launching WebDesigner 9.
Isn't there a way to tell it NOT to check automatically for updates?
Under WD6 to 8, I was not bothered that much.
Where is the option? I think I checked everywhere.
Thanks for any help. This is driving me crazy.

Re: WD9: Stop checking for updates?
As far as I am aware, it checks to see if the programme is registered to open .xar or .web files (as shown in the pic below, example of designer pro x).

But, I'm not aware that it checks for updates every time you start the programme.
I'm sure an Xpert will come along soon to clarify things.
Re: WD9: Stop checking for updates?
Thanks,
but that is not at all what I'm talking about. It's registered for .web files.
It opens two windows with a wait/processing animated circle icon. Then always displays "Your application is up to date".
That's this update check that I want to kill.

Re: WD9: Stop checking for updates?
Sorry, Steve.
I don't know what's going on.
No-one else seems to have come on to offer any other help/checks.
You'll have to raise the issue with Xara.
