How does one go about creating a new image or texture or anything for use in Xara 3d maker ?
Currently we use what is supplied after installation. Beyond that I have not come across importing
something new into any of the folders that can be used to animate an imported image or images.
Is there a special software that is used in creating something different?
Your help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

xara 3D maker requires vector shapes - you can make these vector shapes with xara photo and graphic designer, or xara designer pro, and save them as .XAR files which will open in 3D maker [or cut/paste from one program to the other]
these shapes must be pure vector
when you have your shape/shapes in 3D maker you can then add bitmap texture

1. you muxt use a vector application such as XP&GD9 or earlier version.
2. build yout image and from the edit menu ciopy
3. export to somewhere such as desktop. This is your testure.
4. paste your copied image into X3D and will get a solid probably black shape with no detail.

5. apply the exported image as a texture.

good summary Larry - just repeat, for this to work the way you detail, the object that is created must be !00% vector - it is exported as bitmap for texture, but the drawing itself must be vector, that is very important
