There's a nice interview with Andy Jones on CGChannel. He was the animation director for Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. He also directed the short film Animatrix: The Final Flight of Osiris. I haven't seen the short film, but the still shots in this interview look amazing. I bet its even more amazing in motion. Anyhow, many high res still shots in the interview.
