Keith: That's a generous collection and will be a big help Thank you!
Sadler: Thank you for the beautiful garland. Unfortunately the Jpeg image will take a lot of work to make it useable. Did you do this with a brush? if so could you post the orginal .xar file? or even if you could post a png with alpha of the brush definition object then I can create my own brush.
I hope to have a final image of the tree in the next couple of days.
Here's another iconic symbol from the UK. At our house we have a variety of traditional and non-traditional things hanging on our tree, including Elvis Presley and a pair of porcelain Dutch clogs. In fact this year we have a toy lion instead of a star on top, in memory of Cecil (the lion). Best wishes to all.

Thank you Jono!
I managed to edit The Christmas garland from sadler and create a brush from a small piece of it so it will appear on the final tree. One way or another even if I have to perform a late night Christmas miracle there will be a lovely image of this year's fully decorated tree posted on the evening of the 22nd (my time)
Spent a few extra moments enhancing previous version with Extrude tool, if not too late.

Not for the TG Christmas tree, but just for fun here's a pic of Cecil on our tree!

Sorry, I thought I'd saved a png - here's the xar instead :)

Wonderful thread!
Here are my two cents; a Christmas Tree Peak. There's a divide in Europe between the Germanic and Latin Christmas tree decorations. In the Netherlands we don't use a star as a topper but instead we use the "piek"(peak). It's said that it resembles the apple the elder people of Europe used to decorate the Jul tree. Later on it was replaced with a star that guided the three Kings to Betlehem. I made a christmas ree peak that reflects Gaddesden place.

Hi Frances, if it's not too late and you have some space, here's a candy tree, with all good wishes and thanks....
