Non-Contiguous Magic Wand
I am using Paint Shop Pro and was interested in trying Xara XTreme Pro. I am mainly into photo work. If I want to select, say, the sky in a photo, in PSP I would use the Magic Wand and ask for it to be non-contiguous. This means that in such places as tree lines, any matching colour will be picked even though it's separated from where I selected. This makes picking much easier.
I cannot see a way to do this on XTreme's Photo Designer.
Thanks for any help

Re: Non-Contiguous Magic Wand
No it doesn't.
MAGIX Xtreme Photo Designer is a seperate program all together which is launched when you double-click a photo for example.
You can tell Xtreme to use PSP X2 if you wish and retain some of the raster tools of X2 when working in Xtreme.
Just go to Option in Xtreme and opene the Effects and Plugin TAB. At the bottom you can click 'Edit bitmpas with this program' then browse to:
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2\Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo.exe
Apply this then any time you double-click a bitmap image in Xtreme, PSP X2 will used.

Re: Non-Contiguous Magic Wand
Every application has it's good points.
Xtreme has more than most, but I keep and use the others when I need one of their unique features.
Re: Non-Contiguous Magic Wand
Hi,
I use PhotoBrush as my designated bitmap editor.
It's lightweight and very cheap.
You asign a pluginfolder as in Xtreme so you can use the same filters
There are some filters that need a selection(like the magic wand)
through the bitmapeditor you can apply these.
