Contour Tool, allow user to define defaults for Contour Options
Perhaps this can be done by editing the Registry, but I could find no entry for Contours.
I do plan views of architectural elements and use the Contour a lot to create curbs, wall, walkways, etc.
In all my years of using Xara I don't believe I have ever had a need for the default of 4 steps.
Because of this I am constantly doing an extra step (swiping 4, and typing in 1).
Can the value PLEASE be changed to 1 or allow the value to be stored in the Registry so we can manually change it?
If you would consider a UI change for the Contour Info Bar, then add little up and down arrows next to the Steps Entry Box so we can use the mouse to change the value and eliminate using the keyboard......or I supposed a dropdown list from 1 thru 9 (similar to what is available with the drop down list for font sizes)

+1 from me as well.
Currently I'm changing the glyph weight for a font and having to change to 1 step before using inset path does get monotonous after the first hundred plus glyphs.

Definitely +1. I find myself using 1 or 2 steps at the most.

Bill, if you're using inset path then you don't need to change to 1 step first. This is implied by the inset path operation.
+1 for the idea of it (and the blend tool) remembering a default number of steps. I believe it is already on the wish list and this thread may well bump it up in priority.
