All of a sudden, when I click- or drag-select text in Xara, there is no visual indication that the text is selected--i.e. the normal reversed color of selected text. I can tell it is selected because I can apply font changes, etc. This is the case for old Xara files as well as new ones with nothing in them but a line of text. Has anyone else had this problem, or, more significantly, solved this problem?
I got a new computer a couple months ago, a 1000 mhz compaq deskpro EN with 256 mb memory, running NT SP6. I did not have this problem immediately upon installing XaraX, though. It's possible, though hard to be certain, that it happened after I installed the latest XaraX patch. I haven't used Xarax much since installing the patch, and may have not worked with text and not noticed this bug.

a video card driver problem. Restarting might fix the problem. If that doesn't solve it, try looking for a new driver for your video card on the card manufacturers website. I am using a 450MHz PIII compaq deskpro EN here at work with no problems. Currently using Win 2000 pro, but was formerly using NT4 sp5 with no problems. I have a Matrox G-200 video card installed in it.
