When installing an upgraded version of Designer or Web Designer, Xara never overwrites or uninstalls the old program like many software companies do. Is there any problems encountered with data files or anything else if you just uninstall the old program through the Control Panel (Windows)?
Nope, no issues with uninstalling a previous version. I leave them installed.

If you don't need the disc space back, then leave the old version installed.
I have an outstanding ticket with Xara Tech Support as XGD7 has a bug in the CorelDRAW (CD32) export, so I load my file into XXP4 and export from there.
The good thing about Xara's graphics programs is that the old will load the new as long as you only want the basics from your source file and have not used any of the newer "drawing routines".
