How do you fix this? It seems to have happened on the upgrade to version 11 of xara web designer pro 11

Just looked in Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer. Centered in each browser.
What device are you using???
Just tried my spare phone not used for months and off center there
Dell XPS 8500 and a Dell 24" Windows 8.1, Ultrascan LED monitor, and iPhone 5s iOS 8.4
The page is shifted left when loaded.
OK Here's what I noticed on my Samsung Tab 4. When I key in the URL, portrait orientation, the page comes up perfectly centered. But, if I rotate the screen to landscape, and then rotate it back to portrait, the page IS off center.
On the iPhone 5s, the page comes in perfectly centered in portrait and in landscape. But if I resize the page, it goes off center.
as I resize my screen down to the Mobi,, it seems to switch to the Mobi page graphic size too quick
then studders to the left off screen as the resize gets smaller., till it refreshes back centered
sorta acts like a 4" page graphic in a Tablet 7" varient
ha! not sure that even means anything
That's basically what |I am on about but how do I fix it?
this still seems like it's switching to a Tablet 7" varient before a Mobi sized

but .. maybe since you are using alot of text
here's what "Egg" posted regarding "Normalizing Text across vareints"
Select part of the text you require to amend in the mobile variant. Change it's size colour or font, then go to the dropdown menu for the text style used (Normal Text say) [It will have a + symbol after the style name] and select "Update Normal Text in this Variant". Linked text fields across variants will still have the same content but will have different styles
Well that didn't fix it. Still centered to the left.
Hi,
If you'd like, one of the Xara support team could have a look at your file and see if its an error with the design itself? Simply post your .xar file here or if you send it through a support ticket with the URL for the TalkGraphics forum and we can have a look at it.
I would love to upload the xar file but cannot see it anywhere. Where will it hide it? I can see .web file with the site name.
Hi,
Sorry, Xara saves files as .xar/.web, either one is perfect, so if you upload the .web or send it into our team we'll have a look for you.
Heres the file ahh won't let me upload it will try again tomorrow.
At least on my phone (HTC ONE), it seems as though a very narrow scroll bar is the culprit... it shows up as a tiny vertical grey line, and I notice that if my page is short enough to fit entirely, the page doesn't shift... however, if the page is taller than the phone's screen, the scroll bar shows and pushes the page to the left. Granted, this could be a coincidence, but it's suspicious....
okay file too large but only basic loader tells you that. I had to split the files so you'll need to rename them back .zip001 and .zip002 due to the limitations of the uploader.
Toolbar that's interesting.
any ideas anybody?
I can't unzip your files :(
you need to rename them back to the orginal format i.e .zip001
Just used 7 zip and extracted them without issues.
Okay since people are having issues extracting the files I've done the same job with winrar Note you will need to remove .zip extension on the files .z01.zip and .z02.zip. You will also likely need winrar as well which is a free download.
Sorry Pit, it just keeps coming up with a "damaged file".
Put a single compressed file on the web server.
Okay fourth attempt http://www.sheffieldweather.co.uk/Sh...eatherPage.zip
Hi PIT, that worked fine. It's your deep menu structure that's causing the issue.
I'll get back later with a solution :)
EDIT: To confirm the menu is the problem here's part of your home page with the menu removed:

Here is something I discovered in mobile variants. If you have anything on the pasteboard that is not part of the website, it throws the page off center.
As a website, it's one to avoid for me. Anything with that kind of text density or content, I will just move on from within seconds of visiting.
The mobile graphic needs fixing up on the top edge.
@ GaryAs I've already said Gary, it's the menu that's causing the problem on this particular site :)Quote:

It's good to know - anyway.
Don't understand what you mean by that as it's the default placement by xara.
It's not the placement, the top edge corners aren't right. It looks like there's top slice cut off or something. The edges at the very top on both sides are inset from where they should be. They are fine on the desktop version.
Out of interest I've deleted the button and yes the page becomes central. I then recreated it and still got the same problem.
Paul re graphics. Not a lot I can do about that. That's how xara created them if I move them around they still not right so it's best I can do.
I was sceptical that Xara was to blame, but the image is indeed correct, but as seen on the web page, there's a fault.
Looked at your site again and as I say, I think it's the drop-down menu creating an issue. The menu seems to reserve 582 pixels on a page, but as the page width is only 480 it creates the vacant space on the right hand side. See screen-grab.
Don't know if this can be adjusted within the Xara navbar or whether you need to create a seperate menu, using pop-ups, for the mobile version. I'd go for the second option.
This is the type of mobile menu I'd go for, not complete of course. See attached xar.
It would be great if Xara could create these alternative concertina (?) navbars as well!
The other solution maybe to change the website to a proper responsive design this was a conversion.
