Looks bucolic and peaceful.
Peaceful was the same feeling I had while looking at it.
And I like peaceful...
James
I like it Frances. I don't know about the peaceful part though. The whale for me adds a bit of drama to the scene and takes away the peacefulness. Just me I guess.
Larry,
There is plenty of sand in between the vantage point and the whale. Nothing to be excited about...not like it's a land shark. ;)
Peace
James
I like it, but for some reason I don't feel that peacefulness.
Thank you Gary, James and Larry. I thought the orca added a touch of something to the scene, they are quite amazing creatures, and although they are often referred to as killer whales and they are predators, they are actually the largest species of dolphins, not whales. Of course dolphins and whales are related.
Very nice Frances, makes me feel right at home here on the coast.
Yep, I'm just across the Strait from you Gray. There's a beach not far from here where at night we can see across to the Island and see the lights of Nanaimo in the distance. (when the weather is clear of course)
Well done Frances, the Orca adds some drama to the scene, I like it.
Hi Frances,
Living in Squamish, I get that sort of peacefulness too except it's mountains, valleys and streams mostly. I've seen many bits of scenery like you've drawn and been on the water going past Sechelt Peninsula and it's many beaches. That scene feels familiar......
Very nicely done Francis, I love all the textures that you used throughout the project. You make it look so easy. I always enjoy seeing your work.
Thank you for sharing,
Paul
Thank You Merv, Ed and Paul. Most of the textures are all vector, just the sand has a bitmap transparency.
