Nice modeling Emel... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Would love to see a more metalic look in some areas, and the glass same same, but the plastics really look good and wow as usual on the modeling... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Hey Emel, would you mind posting a wireshot of this model? Thanx http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

hey, awesomm stuff Emel... thanks for the wires... so this was basically all spline modeling ?
I've used extruded and beveled profiles, loft or skinning and some bezier modeling. All the profiles were drawn in Xara and EPS exported to Strata. Than I've extruded, lofted and converting extrusions to skinned objects I've achieved the shapes I wanted.
By the way Strata is launching a 3D CX version in June and I advise you all to see the news in www.strata.com.
SDS, Wings support and other features to be included in the future version of Strata 3D CX.

Hey thanks for the explain Emel... it is always interesting to gain insight as to the various approaches artist's such as yourself take during the course of creation http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Yea, Polyspline SDS... I can see how this would excite the Strata userbase for sure http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif It will be interesting to see just how they impliment this, and what corresponding tools they offer to go along with this feature...
Thanx again for explaination re modeling procedures used, and for the the heads up re- next Strata on the horizon, Emel, and looking forward to your next worx http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Emanuel,
Cool work as always,
I've been having a hard time logging in and posting to this NG. ?????
The realism is inspiring. How long did it take to model and render this 1?
-David
Hi David,
I tooked me about 16 hours to model and rendering didnĀ“t took to much because it's Ray Traced and Strata is quick in RT mode, maybe 5 to 7 minutes. I don't have patience enough to Radiosity that would have take...never now but it's is measured in hours.
take care
