ADSL2 20mbps
ADSL2+ ... 20mbps (averaging about 17 though did get 21.5 on one test)
512kbps - what do you guys with 5mb+ do with all that speed?
Saludos,
Bob.
768 Kbps adsl out in the rural area where I live. There are plans to upgrade sometime this year to a fiber optic network, but I'm not holding my breath. ;)
100 Mbps
Optimum online boost - 30mps download, 5mps up
You can test your connection speeds to various servers here
Results of course depends on load at the time you test your connection.
I ran the test to SEATTLE three times and got three different results.
Here's my best.

Ran two tests, then on one of my usual sites which has more choices - first 2 both about half of the third :) Not just distance though obviously, there's one server on Speedtest that's in Manchester, just down the road which always gives me a lower reading!
I ran a quick test and got the following result (running the test numerous times seemed to give reasonably consistent results):
Wow ... you guys have fast connections!
I'm at just 2.9Mb/s down & 0.7 up
23,484 kbps Dnld speed
372 kbps Upld speed
Best speeds.
Very much server dependent.
Like John, I prefer http://www.speedtest.net
It even charts earlier tests and has many servers to test from.
Here's speedtest's results this morning:
One thing they could improve: it's possible to ignore results before a certain date but ignoring individual results would give a more accurate picture sometimes. The massive dip below, ruining the average, was a glitch as the next test was taken only one minute later via a different server! :D
I used the site http://www.ip-details.com/for the Internet Speed test checking for my Pc.
Not sure what's going on with that site, but it's not been updated for many years. It's unable to detect when people are using anything above verson 8 flashplayer (released on September 13, 2005). It simply asks you to update your browser!
Many people might still be on version 9, released on April 16, 2007, but version 10 has been downloaded to regular web users PC's since last October.
Just tested mine and got: 20197 kbps down, and 738 kbps up.
My upload is a bit sluggish here. Overall pretty good for me. :)

My internet speed is 100mbps.I check my internet speed in the site http://www.ip-details.com/
In reality the Poll is asking your internet *connection* speed rather than your internet download speed from a given server at a given time.
You can get this from your ISP account details or login to your modem/router and check the port/sync/downstream speed.
Having a 20mbps ADSL2 downstream connection to my ISP does not mean I will always (if ever) receive data at that speed, it's a theoretical maximum.
Rather like having a Bugatti Veyron doesn't mean I could drive it at 260mph everywhere I go ;)

PS: I don't have a Bugatti Veyron :'(
It looks like most people have good internet connection.
